Missoula Lodge Visit

We had the opportunity last fall to stop by and get a guided tour of the fishing lodge we did for Ron and Kathy Clausen on the Blackfoot River near Missoula. What a spot on some of the finest fly fishing in the world! It was such a pleasure seeing how they brought together an interior design package that created the feeling we all had about what this could become in the design and construction phases.
Kathy did an especially nice job of matching classic Montana furniture pieces like the wagon wheel bar stools, rustic dining table and chairs and beautiful wildlife and cowboy art in each of the spectacular rooms. Of course none of this would have been possible without Bruce Hover, master-builder extraordinaire, who bought all of the visions to reality and surprise with his abilities to bring nature into his buildings. What started as a "Tree Room" idea in a sketch became what you see here largely through Bruces talent and knowing how things fit into the design as a whole.
